Subject: No Confidence Vote
Dear Members of the Board of Trustees,
I was one of the 158 faculty who voted in favor of the vote of no confidence today.
Two wrongs don’t make a right!
Not doing the required due diligence at the time you hired Dr. Bellanca was your first mistake and not engaging respectfully with this faculty the first time we came to you was your second.
You have an opportunity to work with us now to enable this wonderful institution to move forward from those mistakes. With my vote is my hope that you can and will help us initiate the changes needed to make things “right” again.
The college came back from a strike a few decades ago to be stronger than ever. We can come back from this as well. Will you still be with us when we do? I hope so.
Facilitators in conflict resolution often encourage their participants to take one step back and
re-view a situation. I hope you will do that now.
